JK Select Baseball

About JK Select Baseball

Our philosophy

At JK Select, we believe developing championship-level athletes requires more than drills and strategy. It requires coaches who understand the power of emotional intelligence. This approach helps us meet players where they are, build genuine trust, and develop the mental and emotional tools athletes need to perform under pressure.

By integrating this framework and Jason Kidd's philosophy into every practice, game, and coaching conversation, we're teaching baseball while developing young leaders who understand themselves, communicate effectively, and bring out the best in their teammates.

Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd

Founder & President

An NBA Hall of Famer, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and NBA champion across 19 seasons, Jason Kidd built his career on a lesson from his own playing days: no matter how talented you are, you can't do it alone. He founded JK Select to teach young athletes the same principles that drive elite performance in the pros — the skills to play the game, and the mindset to compete, grow, and lead well beyond the field.

Peak Performance Through Emotional Intelligence

JK Select has partnered with Iron Advocate Mindset to bring a proven approach to developing championship-level athletes—one that goes beyond physical skill to build the mental and emotional foundation required for sustained excellence. Jason Kidd's legendary career exemplifies this philosophy. From orchestrating plays on the floor to leading the Dallas Mavericks to an NBA championship as head coach, his success has always been rooted in emotional intelligence: the ability to read the game, connect with teammates, make decisions under pressure, and elevate those around him. These aren't just athletic skills—they're life skills.

Through IAM's evidence-based programs grounded in the principles of Finding Polaris, JK Select athletes learn to harness emotional intelligence for peak performance. Players develop self-awareness, build resilience, communicate effectively under pressure, and cultivate the mental clarity that separates good athletes from great ones. By teaching young players to understand and manage their emotions—both on and off the field—we're not just building better competitors. We're building better leaders, teammates, and people.
